This policy explains how FaceAge handles your information. FaceAge is an entertainment app; it is not a medical service and does not provide medical advice.
What we handle
- Your selfie. Sent to a third-party AI provider only to generate your for-fun result, then discarded. We do not keep a copy.
- The answers you give during setup (age, gender, skin type, sleep and stress ratings, and the areas you care about). Kept on your device to produce your result, and also sent to our analytics provider as described below.
- Purchase and subscription status, handled by Apple.
- Usage data about how you move through the app. See the section below for exactly what this includes.
Usage analytics
We use an analytics provider, hosted in the European Union, to understand how people use the app, which screens they drop off on, and whether features work. This is a normal part of running the app, but we want to be precise about it rather than call it anonymous, because it is not.
What is sent:
- Which screens you open and actions you take (for example: starting setup, taking a selfie, opening the paywall, subscribing, sharing a result).
- The setup answers listed above, and the face age result the app produced for you.
- Your subscription state (whether you are on the free or paid tier, and which plan).
- Basic technical details your device sends automatically: device model, operating system version, time zone, and an approximate location (country or region) derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location.
These events are attached to a random identifier generated by the app so we can tell one person's journey apart from another's. That identifier is not your name or email, and we never ask you for either. But because the events are tied to it over time, this information is linked to you as a persistent user rather than being anonymous. Your selfie is never sent to our analytics provider.
You can turn this off at any time: Settings → Share Usage Data. When it is off, the app stops sending these events and stops associating them with your identifier.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not use your information to target advertising to you, and we do not combine it with data from other companies to build an advertising profile.
- We do not store your photos on our servers.
- We do not require you to create an account or hand over your email.
Third parties
We use a small number of service providers to run the app: an AI provider that generates your result, an analytics provider for the usage data described above, subscription management and attribution providers, and payment handling through Apple. These providers receive only what is needed to perform their function and are bound by their own privacy terms.
Storage
Your scan history and preferences live on your device. Uninstalling the app or using "Delete Account" in Settings removes them.
The usage analytics described above are stored on our provider's European Union servers. Deleting the app removes your local data but does not by itself erase analytics events already collected; email us if you want those removed too.
Your choices
- Turn off usage analytics: Settings → Share Usage Data.
- Delete everything: Settings → Delete Account, or uninstall the app.
- Ask what we hold, or ask us to erase it: email us at the address below. If you are in the EU or UK, this covers your rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data, and to object to our use of it.
Children
FaceAge is not intended for children under 13.
