Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how the NerveReset iOS application (“NerveReset”, “the app”, “we”, “us”) handles your information. The content you create in the app — quiz answers, mood ratings, exercise history, preferences — is stored only on your device. A small amount of anonymous data is processed by three trusted service providers, detailed in Section 4 below.
1. Summary
- The content you create in the app — quiz answers, mood ratings, exercise session history, streak, display name, preferences — is stored only on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework and never transmitted to us.
- To run subscriptions, measure how features are used, and measure which marketing channels brought you to NerveReset, the app sends a small set of anonymous events to three trusted vendors: RevenueCat (subscription validation), PostHog (product analytics), and AppsFlyer (mobile attribution). The exact data each receives is detailed in Section 4.
- We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, photos, health data, or other personally identifying information.
- Subscription payments are processed by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We do not see your payment details.
2. Information stored on your device
The following information is stored locally in the app’s private sandbox on your iPhone or iPad and is never transmitted to us or to any third party:
- Answers you provide to the in-app quiz and the resulting score tier.
- Pre- and post-session mood ratings you choose.
- Completed exercise sessions (exercise name, duration, date).
- Daily check-in streak and related progress counters.
- A display name, if you choose to enter one during onboarding.
- Preferences such as the sound-cue on/off toggle.
- A local flag indicating whether your subscription entitlement is active.
You can delete all of this information at any time by deleting the app from your device. Uninstalling the app removes the SwiftData store together with every setting listed above.
3. Information we do not collect
NerveReset does not collect any of the following:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or physical address (unless you voluntarily contact us by email — see Section 9).
- Your precise or approximate location.
- Your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, health data, or motion data.
- The content you create inside the app (your quiz answers, mood ratings, exercise notes, etc.) — that data stays on your device, encrypted at rest by iOS, and is never transmitted to us or to the vendors listed in Section 4.
4. Third-party processors
To operate the app, NerveReset uses three trusted third-party service providers. None of them receive your name, email, location, contacts, photos, or any health information. Each is bound by its own privacy policy, linked below.
4.1 RevenueCat
RevenueCat verifies your subscription on its secure infrastructure so the app can unlock paid features. RevenueCat receives an anonymous per-install identifier and your subscription events from Apple (purchase, renewal, cancellation). RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or other personal information. See revenuecat.com/privacy.
4.2 PostHog
PostHog receives anonymous usage events that help us understand how the app is used and improve it. Events are tagged with a random per-install identifier and basic device context (model, OS version, app version). PostHog does not receive your name, email, or Advertising Identifier. Events are processed in PostHog’s EU region. See posthog.com/privacy.
4.3 AppsFlyer
AppsFlyer measures which channel referred your app install. If you
grant App Tracking Transparency permission, AppsFlyer receives the
Advertising Identifier (IDFA) — which you can reset or revoke at
any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
If you do not grant permission, AppsFlyer uses Apple’s
privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork framework instead, which provides
only aggregated, non-individually-attributable install data.
AppsFlyer does not receive your name, email, or other personal
information. See
appsflyer.com/privacy-policy.
5. Subscriptions and payments
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store using the StoreKit framework. Apple handles your payment information, billing, and renewals under Apple’s own privacy policy, available at apple.com/legal/privacy.
The app receives from Apple only an anonymous entitlement signal indicating whether an active subscription exists. We do not receive your Apple ID, name, email, or payment method.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in
Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your Apple device.
6. System APIs used
In line with Apple’s privacy manifest requirements, NerveReset declares the
following in its bundled PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy file:
- Tracking: enabled (specifically: the AppsFlyer SDK may read the IDFA when you grant ATT permission — see Section 4.3).
- Tracking domains: AppsFlyer ingestion endpoints
(
app.appsflyer.com,events.appsflyer.com,register.appsflyer.com,conversions.appsflyer.com,onelink.me). - Collected data types: Purchase History (via RevenueCat), Product Interaction (via PostHog), Device ID (via AppsFlyer, only when ATT-granted). All declared as not-linked-to-identity.
- UserDefaults API access: declared with reason
CA92.1, i.e. to read and write the app’s own settings (for example the sound-cue toggle).
7. Children’s privacy
NerveReset is not directed at children under 13. The app is rated 12+ on the App Store. Because no personal data is collected or transmitted, the app does not knowingly collect information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information to us, please contact us at the address in Section 9. As the app stores nothing off-device, simply deleting the app removes any information that may have been entered.
8. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal data held about you (for example under the EU GDPR or the California CCPA). Because NerveReset holds no personal data on its servers — everything lives on your device — these rights are exercised directly within the app or by uninstalling it:
- Access / export: the data you have entered is visible inside the app (Progress tab, check-in history).
- Delete: delete the app from your device, or use iOS
Settings → General → iPhone Storage → NerveReset → Delete App.
If you still wish to submit a formal request, you can write to the address in Section 9. Because we do not store a copy of your data, our response will typically confirm that we hold no information about you.
9. Contact
Questions about this policy or your privacy in the app can be sent to:
francois@nomi.so
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the app, in applicable law, or in our practices. The “Effective date” at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version. Material changes will be announced through an update to the app or through this page. Your continued use of NerveReset after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
11. Not medical advice
NerveReset is a general wellness and self-care tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for any medical concern.
